On the left and right are Alienbee strobes bare bulb being flagged with westcott fast flags. These are lighting up the backdrop which is one of the seamless paper backdrops that we have installed with chains and gears. The key light is the alienbee with a beauty dish and grid. On the camera is a vivitar 285 hv for fill. I am also using a 3 f-stop nd filter to keep the shutter under 1/200s for the flash sync speed.

UPDATE:

I posted the Behind the Scenes shot to flickr and got a good question, so I thought I’d answer it here as well.  The question was what I was using for the flags and how they were attached.  The flags are Westcott Fast Flags and they are clamped onto the stands with Super Clamps and Knuckles.  Here’s your shopping list :

Model Photography at Fuquay Varina Studio

This is the lovely Camille Vee. Camille is modeling for a fund raiser. Funds will benefit the St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital. Camille plans to participate in model photography sessions to raise money for her cause. We were fortunate at The Veritas Studio to meet this ambitious young lady and help with her cause. Camille’s hair and makeup was done by the talented makeup artist, Elisha Klaiber.

Videography Studio Rental – Raleigh, NC – Chroma Key

The good folks at Caroling Reprographics rented the VERITAS Studio for some video work for one of their clients.  The client wanted some green screen video work done to replace the background in post production.  The chroma key work here was done with a velvet green backdrop.

EDIT- The finished video has gone live on youtube … check it out!

Model Shoot with Spiro Scindo

I had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot with Raleigh area model, Spiro Scindo. We did some location shots near Harris County Park and then some studio work.

Here’s the behind the scenes shot. This uses concentric lighting on the right. The beauty dish main light was stopped at f8 and directly behind that was the large octobox for soft peripheral fill stopped at f4. The hair light on the left uses a grid and barn doors. It was stopped at f5.6.
